JENN
Occupation: Student.
My style: Candy whore.
Style influences: The rave scene, techno music.
Hairstyle: It’s puffy, multi-coloured and crazy. I have naturally very straight hair, but I take my time to load it up with hairspray, crimp it sometimes, and just make it stand out.
Dress: This dress is more like lingerie. It was too big for me, so I just pinned it up and sewed it. The laciness of it kind of reminds me of a naughty Santa Claus.
Leggings: Neon green is one of my favourite colours. The fishnets I like, because… I guess it’s my twisted side that kind of likes the trashy hooker look, so I just wanted to combine those two. I think the black on the green looks really cool and stands out.
Sweater: This is probably the only thing that I usually wear that isn’t from a thrift store or a dollar store. I like how it’s one of the very few dark colours that I wear, but it still looks good.
Boots: They were a gift from a close friend of mine. He bought them for me. And ever since, I’ve loved them to death.
Butterfly necklace: I think butterflies are really cool and graceful. I like their multi-colouredness, and each one is unique. So, I decided to wear it just to represent the butterflies in the world.
Bracelets: Many of them hold great sentimental value, because really cool people that I met one night would give them to me, and I’ll actually remember them because of it. Or close friends of mine have made them specifically for me. I make them if I meet a really cool person that’s special, and I’ll give it to them, and hopefully they’ll just remember that random chick that gave them a bracelet.
A time I gave someone a bracelet: There was this one guy, he was a bus driver, and I just randomly got on the bus because I had nothing better to do. So I was just riding it and we were having the most random conversations about the CN Tower, Honest Ed’s, movies, getting drunk and tipping over lambs back when he was a kid, all this random stuff. And I was like, “You know what? You’re cool. Have a bracelet.” And I still remember his name. It was Chuck. Chuck the Bus Driver.
My idea of fun: Adventuring, meeting new people, just going out with my friends and not necessarily picking what we’re going to do, but just doing something, seeing where it leads. And trying to collect treasures on the way, or memories, is definitely a lot of fun.
Ambitions: I’m definitely interested in the arts. I guess my talents are more in music. Writing songs or poetry is something I’ve been very interested in since a young age. For now, I’m just keeping my options open and trying everything out.
