Occupation: Student
Lexi is a raver and says her style is inspired by “peace, love, unity, and respect.” A friend made her pink fluffies, and her purple bangs represent iconic club/concert hall The Big Bop, which recently closed down. Besides going to raves, she likes to make bracelets and hang out with her friends. She enjoys listening to metal and happy hardcore, and her favourite bands include Meshuggah, Tool, and The Beatles.

Occupation: Fashion student
Jake says his look is a nod to punk and the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. He especially digs his new Doc Martens. He gets his style influences from runway fashion, style blogs, the city, and people he hangs out with. He’s currently into accessory design and would like to do some styling in the future. Some of his interests are drinking, painting, and doing creative photo shoots. His music of preference is classical and 80’s punk, and his favourite performers include the Dead Kennedys, Joy Division, and Julian Casablancas.

Travis lives in Australia, but came to Toronto to perform in a Queen tribute show. He gets a lot of his style influences from the late 80’s, and he likes anything that’s colourful or that has a rock and roll vibe to it. His jacket was purchased from eBay, but he says he doesn’t get to wear it much because of the warm Australian weather. He’s interested in health and fitness, and he enjoys reading biographies. His musical tastes include Muse, The Darkness, Iron Maiden, Extreme, and of course, Queen.

Ella, who’ll soon be attending grad school to study Buddhism and philosophy, describes her style as eclectic. Her favourite item is her Yves Saint Laurent bag. She got her jacket on eBay, and her Vince dress is from a store she used to work at. She enjoys rock climbing in her free time, and she digs 70’s music, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Calvin Harris, and Pretty Lights.

Dylan is wearing a hoodie, a shirt with an interesting design on it, a cool pair of red pants, Airwalk sneakers, and he’s got a bag slung over his shoulder. Dylan’s interests include computers, programming, and astronomy. His favourite type of music is drum and bass, and gabber.

Ruwanthi, a psychology student, likes to stay away from fashion trends. Her favourite item is her vest. Her shirt says, “You mess with the cat, you get the claws.” She likes to work out in her spare time.
Isaac, a paramedic student, likes to wear comfortable clothes and prefers a laidback style. His favourite item is his bag, which he’s customized with various pins and badges. School keeps him busy, but he likes to take pictures in his spare time.

Jeremy describes himself as bright and colourful, and says he likes to stand out from the crowd. He’s wearing all black, except for his colourful wristbands, and his t-shirt that says “Life is a Game,” which he got at a downtown tattoo shop. His favourite item is his neon pink wristband that says “LOVE”.
